According to a study by Fairleigh Dickinson University, in the United States of America, people with “harmonious” smiles have salary proposals that are 8 to 20% higher. In addition, about 99.7% of the American population believe that a beautiful smile is important for social success, according to a poll by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
João Caramês, clinical director of the Institute of Implantology, states that “the great challenge of contemporary dentistry can be summed up in one word: harmony. Harmony between natural teeth, harmony between smile lines and facial biotypes, harmony between textures, color and reflections, harmony between functional and morphological characteristics.”
According to the specialist, who will hold a clarification session for the press today (August 25) in which he will evaluate the smile of Miss República Portuguesa, “there is a variety of treatments, both functional and aesthetic, that allow you to obtain a more beautiful smile and healthy over time.”
